Housing / Castle Tournament System

Not sure if this has been suggested before...

Basically my idea has 2 scenarios.

Housing Tournament 1 - 1 Winner

Concept


The Castle / House Owner can have the ability to set up a Tournament within their own house. The only way I could figure out a suitable way for this to work is a leaderboard, Depending on the length of the set tournament, the 1st Place winner will win by the amount of battles they have won. There is a couple problems with this however, as I'll explain below.

Tournament - Owner UI


Set Entry Fee / Set Prize:
  • The owner will have the ability to set an amount with a maximum of maybe 500 Coins, as it could affect the coin system if it was more.
  • The owner can set the entry fee to FREE and just have a final reward.

Set length of tournament:
  • Set the number of hours or days you would like the tournament to be held for.

Set Level of Tournament:

  • Set the average levels of the tournament, for example. It could be only for level 10-20 or 30-40 and so on.
Set reward of Tournament:

  • Depending on the setup of the tournament, the owner can set it to either one of the following options.

  1. Entry Price - Whatever entry price the owners sets it to be. Every player who enters, the entry price gets put straight into the final rewards prize.
  2. Set Coin Prize - The owner could set a specific amount of coins as the final reward.
  3. Set Prize - Could be a Hoard Pack that that is put through the system.

  • If there are more than 1 winner with the same score, there would be a sudden death round where the final 2 will battle it out for the prize.
Tournament - Player UI
Description of the tournament:
  • A description of the tournament details, length, prize, number of entries. Etc
Enter Tournament Button:
  • The player can click the Enter Tournament Button where it brings them to the pay entry fee OR automatically enters them if it is free.
Pay Entry Fee:
  • The player will be able to see the cost and select whether to pay or to cancel.
Problems to work around


There are a few problems that will need to be though out such as the following:

  • Players could constantly battle and hold the battle ring, preventing others from playing.
  • Between 2 scoring systems, the number of battles the player has won can cause more sudden death matches. However, with an actual scoring system that reads the time the match took and who won will contribute a specific amount towards their score.
  • Closing date for entries, will be difficult to work out.


Housing Tournament 2 - Team Match


This will work differently from above with more options and a more specific system of working out the prizes. A few extra options are as follows:

  • The reward will be split equally between all 4 Members of the team. With the remaining in a tournament bank that the owner controls.
  • Once 4 players are in a group, they can create a team and name their team at the entry point of the tournament. This doesn't mean they have to play in a team, but all battles that each player wins or looses goes towards their score or even reduces it if a loss.
