What exactly is the spiral battlefield that is created every time that we engage in combat with an enemy? It mystifies me since so many things come out of it. That makes me wonder if the battlefield is just a portal to every world in the spiral, and our spells simply just cause the battlefield to spit out creatures that will aid us in battle. Also, where do summoned minions, enemies, and the battlefield go once the battle is complete? Are they launched to a different corner of the spiral when defeated the way we are? What are some of your speculations on the puzzling portal?
