What do those little coins on top of plants?

What are those little coins in plants, I am new to gardening, so all answers are welcome.

Sounds like your plants may need some sunlight.

No, I know that, but when you buy the plants, there are coins on top of them.

If you are referring to the card image you see when you place your cursor over the plant when buying it, then they are a measure of the reward level for harvesting. The other row at the top is a general indicator of the difficulty. This was introduced to all players in wizard city when gardening is activated, within the intro quests from the life teacher and gardener.
