I have both a balance and a life wizard. They both have their school pets, so my Balance Wizard has Judgement and my Life Wizard has Forest Lord. I have hatched with this pair twice. First, via 'shared bank' I gave my Judgement pet to my Life Wizard and they hatched. I got a Crop Watcher (which surprised me, but it's still a very nice pet - although it would be nicer if I had a death amulet). Then I gave my Forest Lord (via shared bank again) to my Balance Wizard and hatched Judgement and Forest Lord again and the result was an Astral Judge. I am wondering if it helps to be a Balance Wizard to hatch Judgement/Forest Lord?
