Gardening Ranks and Levels?

Spell level and rank is used interchangeably in Wizard101 and I don't understand. I always thought they meant the same thing... but then why does the card level not match the rank required to purchase/use the spell?

What is the relevence of the spell level indicated on spell cards??? If you go to the gardening vendor in Krokotopia you will see that spell card levels do not match the gardening rank required for purchase. (Example: Streaming Sun is a level 2 card that requires Gardening Rank 3 to purchase or use.)

--> Spell cards have a level indicated on the top left corner. The manual says "The upside down triangle indicates the level of the spell"

--> Seeds indicate a rank. The manual says "Seed Level #... the minimum Gardening Rank a wizard needs to be to plant that seed".

--> The manual also says "Gardening Ranks... As you grow and harvest more plants you will gain gardening XP and higher gardening levels".

--> When you go to buy a trained spell the "rank" shown does not match the "level" indicated on the spell card.

Perhaps a professor could explain what the level on a gardening spell card (top left corner) means. Much appreciated .

Uhm... so why is Second Spring labeled as a Rank 1 spell?
