Since we have auras that give you positive effects for a duration of usually 4 rounds, how about there being Auras that can counteract them, or debuff you? For example, the opposite of Amplify could be a spell called Debilitate, where it weakens your spells by 20% for 4 rounds.
1. Currently the only means of dispelling an aura is Supernova in the Balance School. 2. My preference leans towards traps that can do the same thing until they're triggered. 3. I feel that this will just needlessly complicate the game. 4. I'd rather fill my spell book with a more useful spell.
