outgoing / incoming healing

Would someone be so kind as to clarify the different healing categories?

When you cast a heal it's outgoing and when another casts a heal it's incoming, yes?

As an example; for a solo player would you desire a high outgoing heal when you heal yourself?

The side benefit of that would be during a team-up when you heal another player. Would your high outgoing stack with their incoming for a very good boost on hit points?

Any knowledge is appreciated.

Outgoing and incoming healing stack when you heal others, and also when you heal yourself.

To clarify this statement, your incoming and outgoing heal percentages stack if casting on yourself. If casting on someone else, your outgoing and their incoming will stack.
