I have noticed some level 48 pets mainly get power pip chance at beginning stages, but some people seem to have damage boost to their own school, some even gain life. How though? All pet talents are given randomly. It's really that simple. There is nothing you can do to 'force' a talent to appear.
All of the level 48 pets have Pip O' Plenty in their talent pools. Each also has Health Gift and the "Giver" talent specific to the pet's school in its pools; if the pet manifests these talents, the wizard will have extra health/life and a boost to school damage.
Games don't matter, but pets that have all good talents have usually been hatched repeatedly. Pets you buy or get as drops in the game have limited gene pools. Train just to adult then hatch with a pet that has the talents you want. Then you get a new pet that can have better talents.
i would suggest keep hatching your pet with the one that has got the stats you want eventually you should get the pet and any talents that you don't want should eventually be out of the pet just keep hatching is basically the only thing you can really do. And as soon as it gives a stat that you don't want just toss the pet cause whats the point of wasting your time, energy, and pet snacks on a pet that you don't even want?
