he's supposed to be~ he wouldn't be the most-awesomest final boss in the spiral (other than dr. von herself, of course) without crazy cheats and steroid health.
that final instance is not meant for a single wizard. a few people have done it, but most people will fare much better in good company... so bring friends with you; if you don't have friends in-game, go to wizard101central.com and create an account there (membership there is free, posts are instant, and there are always nice people looking for help with difficult instances).
another question: what school are you, and what gear/stats do you have? if you let us know, we may be able to help you maximize your wizard's skills.
