I'm helping my wife do the quest "Celestian Leftovers" and we've killed Karalok 5 times, in different realms, after killing Karalok it says to talk to him. She's already read the zodiac tome, and went to the pedestal, and am still unable to talk to Karalok. At best he regens to fight again, most times he's just gone after the fight.

We had the same problem with this fight - I don't remember how we finally got it to do the right thing, it seems to act strangely if you have help from someone who has already completed the quest or if they enter with you on the pad as opposed to them porting in. I think I ended up soloing it to get it out of my book on one of my wizards.
