No, I am not quitting, but I may not have a lot of time to play wizard in a few weeks. Now, if you choose to end your membership, do you choose to re-activate it for free? This sounds dumb, re-activating a membership. But I am just wondering if you can end it, then re-activate it when you want to, if it is already paid for. I read some Q&A but I can't seem to locate this. Thank you for assistance.

Setting your account back to Free Trial does not suspend your Membership.

You will continue to be a Member until your Membership expires.

Setting your account back to Free Trial ensures you are not re-billed at the end of your current Membership.

Whether you purchase a Membership or Pay by Area, really depends on how you think you will play the game.

If you plan to push through as much of the content as possible in the shortest amount of time, then a month to month Membership is the best value for you.

If you plan to play several characters over a long period of time, then a 6month or 1year Membership is probably the best value for you.

If you only have a few hours a week to spare, or will hold off playing for long periods of time, then purchasing individual areas is the best value for your time. It allows you to purchase just the next street you need to progress, and once you've purchased an area, it's accessible to all your characters on that account. Purchasing individual areas lets you progress at your own pace without feeling like you have a Membership hanging over your head.

The prices for the individual areas can be found here: https://www.wizard101.com/game/areapricing

It doesn't reactivate for free. The part you are remembering is that depending upon which membership you opted in for (1, 6, 12 month), you continue that membership until your time expires, even if you cancel earlier. You will still have access to membership benefits at 8 months if you cancelled your membership at 6 months on a one year membership (because, like you said, you paid for it).

However, if you reactive at that 8th month, you are purchasing a whole new one year subscription (or less). That subscription doesn't start until the portion you already previously paid for expires (in this case, reactivating at 8 months for an additional one year membership will give you 16 total months of membership).

As I outlined in this thread.
If you set your account back to Free Trial by ending your Membership, it will NOT renew, however you will be able to continue to play as a full Member until the current Membership runs out.

For example. If your Membership renews at the end of August, and you cancel it now, you will still be able to play as a Member until the end of August. After the end of August, you will be returned to the Free to Play areas of the game.
