Um, No. If this went into effect then it stands to reason that homeowners would get hit with mortgage payments and/or land taxes. Although the payments on my Wizard City Playhouse might not be so bad, I'd hate to see what I needed to pay for my Watchtower Hall and Dragon's Fjord houses.
And if your talking about the wizard city apartment the dorms have four storys :D
Not necessarily, and the apartments you describe sound more like re-imagined castles. Why would someone spend so much money per week to rent an apartment when they can just buy a castle for a better price? In the long run, these apartments are much more expensive especially for a place that you won't be in much (and if you are, you're kinda wasting your money subscribing to the game). And then there are the dorms (basically studio apartments) which are free. I don't see the need for this; it seems like a completely unnecessary middle ground.
While I kind of like the idea (I for one do not like the huge houses) I see no reason to rent them at all... and wouldn't. The flat/apartment should be purchased just like any other housing for crowns/gold.
Well, I pretty much disagree. First, imagine this scenario: Wizard rents Avalon tower. Wizard takes break from playing. Wizard logs in in a month owing 10000 gold to Myrella Windspar the Real Estate Agent. The idea just seems weird, might be too hard to come up with the money in time, especially for younger players who may prefer just exploring the vibrant landscape then farming for gold to pay off debts. I would certainly not rent one, because I am a PvPer. And current Palaces suit me fine.

You bought your houses, you rent an apartment, long as you didnt lease your house you dont got to pay. :D
i don't like this idea of apartments its overpriced and if you were gone for like i don't know 1 month you would owe a bunch of money and plus how are you gonna sell that fast? I rather stick to palaces and dorms
