The Ultimate Crafting Challenge

Who of whom is reading this has tried to craft the Celestial Observatory house?

-raises hand-

Think to yourself: on a scale of 1-10, how hard is it? (1 being a piece of cake, 10 being impossible)

-holds up 10 fingers-

I have no room in my backpack for all of the things you need, and am only level 50, so I can't really buy the treasure cards needed.

Even worse, I have fought and fought, and sold and sold, and cleaned everything out from my bank, and now have less than 3,000 Gold.

Please, help me out by giving answers to two things:

-How do you get Gold quickly?
-How can you make crafting easier?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Blaze WinterBlossom, Grandmaster Sorcerer

I give it a 6. Mainly cause I have over 70 sunstone at all times.

Farming the right bosses.
Most people prefer halfang, but if you ask me, I prefer asrik. His amulets drop a ton more often and sell for 12888.
They are located in vestrilund.

Asrik Widebelts link: (The boss I prefer)

Halfang Bristlecrown's Link: (The boss people tend to prefer o.o (low health))

-How can you make crafting easier?

Use wizard101central for knocking down those best reagent farming spots, and have a stockpile, gardening from pink dandelions and other good reagent-dropping plants also helps.

Remember, you can transmute.

Stone blocks sell relatively often. Buy even them little Stone blocks. By the time you do find an occasional Sandstone or Sunstone, you'll have a bunch of Stone blocks that you can transmute into Sandstones, which you can transmute further into Sunstone.

I would not suggest gardening as an alternative to getting reagents, unless you already have a well sized garden growing that you regularly harvest from. I mean, who here wants to start gardening just to get reagents? I sure as heck don't. XD

I never tried crafting any houses (either observatory, or the other one from Grizzleheim. But I will attempt to craft the one from Grizzleheim).

But, if crafting the observatory is anywhere near as frustrating as the final crafting advancement test, I understand your ... pain.

2 things.
1. I do not suggest stone blocks, lets do the math. You need 55 sunstone. Stone blocks these days are rare and tend to cost 175.
You need 10 stone blocks for one sandstone, and 15 sandstone for one sunstone. Lets do the math:
175*10*15*55
That equals 1,443,750. That is the worth of 123 dragonshield amulets!!! (Those sell for 12888)
I dont prefer sandstone either, sells for about 625, and you need 15 for each transmute, x55.
625*15*55=515,625
That is the worth of 41 dragonshield amulets.
If you buy JUST sunstone, which sells for about 3500, 3500 with no transmute, x55.
3500*55=192,500.
That is the worth of just 15 amulets. See how much you save just buying sunstone? Thats over 1,200,000 right there. OVER 100 DRAGONSHIELD AMULETS! :)

However, as for gardening, I do like gardening if you are a grandmaster gardener. There are certain plants, I will let you do your own research, that does help, and its pretty easy to take care off. (Black pearls and blood moss from those pink dandelions!!! Over 60 black pearls right now!)

But thats just my opinion, coming from someone who has crafted the house and has over 80 sunstone on one wizard :)
