I favor giving death a tower shield that explodes upon it being hit causing 400 sun damage to death (harder for death to avoid than death damage and fits with the undead theme of being affected by life) and reflecting 1/2 of the attacker's damage back upon the caster. The shield would cost zero pips, and would not reduce incoming damage but would work against all incoming damage spells. I thought exploding shields would be neat, and decided death would be the best school to have them due to their nature of taking damage to give damage back (sometimes more and sometimes less).
