I think it should stay a drop. It actually helped me get gold, due to farming Curuin Charmtooth for the shield, I was able to sell everything else he dropped which would help me pay for the ingredients and recipes needed to craft the Celestian Observatory ( keep at it, I have it and it is a wonderful house)
