recently i have noticed that the words in the game have turned black. by words i mean random text in the game, from names of cards to a persons in game name (hehehe that rhymes ) but any way.... it's become really hard to read and it bothers me a little bit. i have asked multiple friends if they have noticed the changes but they didn't know what the heck i was talking about. but it's not all of the words words cause the words for example in my spell book are normal even when i arranging my spells, they are normal too, so it seems it's just when i walking around and in combat. i been thinking it was my graphics card or video driver or something like that. but i just wanted to know if any one has any opinions. any help at all would be great!!!

It's most likely that your video drivers are out of date. It's important to keep these up to date and here's how:

http://kingsisle.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/kingsisle.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=172

It's very easy (but takes several steps to figure out what it is):

1. Determine the manufacturer of your video or Audio card

A) Video > Open your control panel, click on "Display" > "Settings" tab > "Advanced" > "Adapter" > "Properties" > "Driver" tab.

B) Audio > Open your control panel, click on "Sounds and Audio Devices" > "Hardware" tab > "Devices" > Click on the audio device then > "Properties" > "Driver" tab.

2. Write down the Driver Provider and Driver Version.

3. Go to the driver manufacturer's website and locate your particular computer and download the newest driver (you can check the latest driver they post with the driver version you have, if it's the same, then don't bother with the download - likely they've come out with a new one since last you updated though). If you have Windows 7, you can open device manager, and right click on the device. You can pick Update drivers from this as well.

After updating the driver, reboot your computer and hopefully, all is right in Wizard City!

PS: You can bypass all this by sending us a dxdiag & we'll determine your driver and send you the link to update if necessary:

To create a dxdiag.txt just go to Start -> Run (or Search in Vista) and enter dxdiag and click OK. Once the program has run it's course, click "Save all Information" and it will output a txt file that you can attach to your ticket. You can send us a ticket via the "Contact Us" tab above.

How do I submit a dxdiag to Wizard101 support?

Some of the common video drivers (** Some laptop and even proprietary desktop manufacturers do not recommended or support driver updates from the video driver manufacturer's websites. Please refer to the computer manufacturer's website first (where applicable) for information pertaining to video driver updates. ):

thanks for the reply professor. i updated my and video drivers to the latest update (which was in 2006) and i still have the problem. but i have played other online games to test the new drivers out and the graphics actually seemed a little sharper. i dont know if i should send in a ticket to support but if you have no solution for me it's perfectly fine i can live with it 8) 8)
