From private to captain it goes up by 50 points. From captain on up the rank raises by 100 points.
If you mean how I personally do ranking up/down then, I would say big swings in rank. I used to be way up there in warlord when celestia first came out (1200) and a while before Celestia. Now? i go up and down from Commander to knight to commander then down again. No idea why that's going on. It's strange because I face warlords in practice quite often. I do pretty well. Although my win streak against them in practice is half I don't make it easy. And I usually go second against warlords for some reason :p
