Now that I am max I can't find gear that compares to ice. As a life wizard I get resistance to death and myth and each of those to the others. Fire and storm resist each other as well as ice but nothing else. Even balance only has resistance to the elements but not the spirit schools.
If by max you mean you're level 60, then you need to go get your waterworks gear, and go get the crafting recipes from wintertusk.
That gear is what you're looking for, but if you can't get in to waterworks and you refuse to craft, you're going to be stuck with substandard stuff for your legend.
