the pet rock

ok so i have a question about the pet rock, can you hatch with it and get another rock, or is it like the epic bundle pet, you can never get it if you hatch?

You can hatch with the epic bundle pet and get another fierce hound i have done it before so i imagine you can get a pet rock.
