High Rank vs. Win/Loss Ratio

I've seen people who are high PvP ranks (even Warlords!) whose win/loss ratio is hardly over 1-1, sometimes less than that. Yet they have over 1,000 xp. How is this possible if you lose xp when you lose a match? Just curious. Thanks!

it really depends on the type of match you had
if you like had a really really close match but you lost, you might lose 11, but if you beat like a warlord and your a private, no matter what you ratio is you will get boosted up A LOT

like my pvp rank is 42/74 and my xp ranking is 472, so if the wins are more spectacular than the losses, this will happen
