have you waited a day or more? the total time it takes is two days to get to mature
The fastest for me is the Boom'shroom, with a gnome and a tree stump you can get to mature in a little over a day, and to harvest w/in 3 days.
I have trouble seeing the bar, as I am color blind and the bar just doesn't show...but if it has been 3 days and you haven't gone from seedling to young plant, there seems to be a problem.
