So, I'm curious about the mechanics of the items.
If an item gives me +2% and has a shield next to it, does that mean it will give me resists against all spell classes?
Because a +2% with a fire and shield next to it only resists fire.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that a plain sheild means that you resist everything because somehow I resist 2% everything and I have a clothing that has 2% and a shield next to it. So yeah, hope that helps.

Thanks for the reply. I went ahead and bought the item anyway (even though it was expensive) and verified it myself. :-)
