Hydra pet not showing up in pet selection

I just completed the level 48 Balance quests to get the Hydra pet, and when I finished, the little pet icon popped up on my screen saying I received it but the egg is not showing up in my pet selection thing. I don't know if this is a glitch?

Eggs must hatch before the become pets. You will receive another notification once your egg has hatched.

If you look under your pet tab, you should see the egg. The only ones which show up on your backpack pet tab are those you can equip.

Maybe your backpack is full. Check in your bank and maybe it will be there.

I know they have to hatch, but usually the eggs show up in the pet selection section of and it shows what type of egg it is and how much time is left until it hatches, at least that's how it's always been in the past for me. This time there isn't anything there at all.
