First Oasis beetle will not activate

I can't finish the quest and it is affecting me in Marleybone and Mooshu beacause I can't finish that one beetle which I have located, pressed x, walked all over, and unmounted. I've found all the other ones. I've tried talking to Zeke, nothing, HELP

There are TWO beetles in the oasis, are you sure you got BOTH of them?
If you want the prize, you have to build the ladder rung by rung. There are no shortcuts.

Zeke, only you, your alleged brother that hangs out in Crystal Grove, and Bartlby are residents of the Spiral who are missing an eye.
