how do you open the chest
not the crown won

When you are questing in Dragonspyre, you receive a quest where you need to go around the spiral and open all of the Obsidian Chests. Hope this helps!

You can't right now. There are other places that also have Obsidian Chests. Later on in the game, you'll be given a quest to go back to each place and retrieve something from them.

The other chest is an obsidian chest.

When you reach Dragonspyre, you get a special quest to go around and open all of the obsidian chests.
