Not alone after entering instance alone (Mal)

I went onto the pad to get into Malistaire's instance. I was alone. Suddenly during a battle there was some other wizard (Not a friend, I checked) in with me, and then another ported in (maybe he/she knew the other one?)

In any case, it was weird because I entered the instance by myself and the two others weren't friends.

It was frustrating because when my daughters (2) tried to port in to me, they couldn't (full dungeon)

Is this a known bug?

It sounds like after your friend ported to you, somebody else ported to them, at which time, others could port to that person. The best course would have been to exit and try again. If others get insistent about joining you, you can move to another realm.

i had this exact same thing happen earlier today as well, i seen a group go into the tree of life ahead of me, we waited till they went in, then went in ourselves. only to find that we were in the instance with them.

very odd

No. Neither person was a friend. That's what made it buggy to me. These were people who were not on my friend list and therefore should not have been able to port to me.

And this might have been what happened to me. Perhaps someone came in soon after I went in. This is not behavior i'd ever seen before through all the other worlds of wizard101. There may be an instance creation bug at work here. I'm a software engineer, so I find myself now trying to plot out how i'd have written this functionality and ways it could be buggy.
