I have completed the "first ring" of DS I have no new quests. Professor Drake just says he can't help me until I get into another ring. Is there a quest i missed????

Did you finish Halina Warhawk, "Read History Book" in the Plaza of Conquests? This is separate from the other history books quest. (NOTE: you can't use quest helper to get to her either.)
And did you talk to Zelen Battlehorn in the Grand Chasm? I almost missed him when I first got to DS. He gives a few quests that get you moving forward.
