Does anyone know who Marek Thistlehorn is? He is standing in the Howling Cave in The Great Spyre.

I got curious when i went there first and did a little web search. I didn't find anything, it only said that he was an unactive NPC. I hope he ends up with a side quest or something like that, I would like to uncover many things.
