I think that you should be able to buy followers that follow you where ever you go. They go in battles like minions, but follow you every where.

That will sound like pets when the celestia pet updates come out.

it sounds like, um, pets. It does seem like pets ay assist in battle, but maybe they won't be selfish like the death minion
