Dungeons are the worst things becuase when you leave them...like when you die, you lose all your progress. So, they should have an automatic save so that you can teleport back to where you were. And, when you are fighting a boss and you die, the boss should return quickly, so you can battle him again.

Wrong. Ordinary dungeons (for ex: sunken city) stay the same if you leave, but only for 30 minutes. Except if you teleport home, do an arena match, or enter another dungeon, then they refresh. You can also mark your place in those dungeons. Boss towers refresh no matter what if you leave and cannot be marked. The other dungeons that have many floors are the same as single boss towers (ex: father drake). No one can teleport to you in these dungeons once you are in so if you have the choice, it is important not to go alone unless you are for sure you can solo.

You do have time to go back and keep your progress if you die. I believe it is 30 mins, just go back and re-enter and you should be fine.

If you leave on purpose without a friend in the dungeon, or have a disconnect you do lose the progress.
