In Ds you can go to the past and dragonsprye is nice looking but wouldnt make more sense if you went to wizard city in the past to stop malistaire

The only way to stop Malistair in the past, is to keep his wife from dying. Because it's her death that pushes him over the edge...

By changing that specific past, you change the whole story line that leads you throughout the different worlds in the first place which helps you earn your skills. Which means, you stop him in the past, then you don't have looking for/saving the krokonomicon throughout the Spiral, that he steals specifically for bringing his wife back to life in the first place.

Which means, then a whole different story has to be written from the get-go, cause you just deleted the whole story line that the game itself is based and started off of.

The story is fine as it is. Why change perfection simply cause you'd rather nip the story in the bud before it even starts. LOL!
